Medical Fund Campaign

As the holiday season approaches, we’re reaching out to our incredible community of animal lovers and advocates to help us replenish the animal medical fund.

At Serenity Farm Virginia, our cherished animal companions rely on us for shelter, love, and crucial medical care. So far this year we’ve spent $10,921 on well care, urgent veterinary interventions, and hospice care. Now we are reaching out to you with an earnest plea.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to replenish the medical fund, a lifeline that ensures our friends receive essential care when they need it most. Your generosity can help us maintain a reserve exclusively for medical expenses, allowing us to sustain the well-being of our current residents and extend a helping hand to those awaiting rescue in their moments of dire need.

Thanks to your support, we’re making great progress toward our $10,000 goal, and have reached $2,024! Let’s maintain this momentum for the well-being of the animals. Together, we can make a significant impact.

Medical Stories

Meet a few of the animals whose lives have been changed through the generous donations of our supporters.

Anjo

Anjo’s rescue tale began in December 2022 when she was discovered trapped in a drainage pipe. Her condition was heartbreaking, with signs of a false pregnancy, a severe skin condition, and a burden of parasites that left her in misery. Over the next 10 months, a dedicated team worked to restore her health. Today, Anjo has transformed into a picture of happiness and vitality, showcasing the incredible resilience and spirit of animals when given the care they deserve.

Alfonzo

When Alfonzo arrived, he walked into the paddock on his knees because his feet were so painfully overgrown. He had wounds on his back and suffered from internal and external parasites. With the care from our veterinarian and daily coconut oil-lavender massages Alfonzo healed both physically and emotionally.

Leilah

Leilah and her sister Chocolate arrived at 5 weeks of age. Leilah lost her back legs and ears to frostbite at birth. She is receiving daily massage therapy and stretching exercises with her front leg braces. When her legs are strong enough, she will begin wearing her pretty pink back leg prosthetics and will be able to play with her sister.

Your kindness and support make all of this possible. We’re truly grateful for your generosity.

Wishing you serenity and peace,

Jo Bighouse, Founder
