Perpetual Pet Care Program

A Legacy of Love for the Animals You Cherish

When you share your life with animals, they become more than companions—they become family.
But have you thought about who will care for them if you’re no longer able to?

At Serenity Farm Virginia, our Perpetual Pet Care Program offers peace of mind to animal lovers who want to ensure their beloved pets are protected, loved, and never left behind.

Why This Matters

Every year:

  • 6.3 million animals enter shelters
  • 10% are surrendered because their owners passed away
  • Over 920,000 cats and dogs are euthanized
  • More than 19,000 horses are bought by kill buyers and sent to slaughterhouses

These animals once belonged to someone who loved them.
Without a plan, even the most cherished pet can face an uncertain—and often tragic—future.

A Safe, Loving Future Awaits at Serenity Farm Virginia

A Forever Home After Goodbye: Real Stories of Comfort and Care

Bailey’s owner, Mike, passed away, leaving Bailey without a caretaker. While Mike’s loss was deeply felt, it soon became clear that Bailey would need to be rehomed. Despite numerous promising leads and many helpful recommendations, we were initially unable to find the right place for her. Undeterred, we continued our search until a good friend referred us to Serenity Farm Virginia.

From the moment Bailey arrived at Serenity Farm Virginia, she was welcomed with patience, kindness, and care by the founder, Jo. Jo offered reassurance that Bailey would be given the time she needed to acclimate at her own pace. Though she was initially reserved, Bailey gradually adjusted and has since become a cherished member of the Serenity Farm Virginia family. She has found not only a compassionate environment but, it seems, a special bond with Jo as well.

We express our sincere appreciation to everyone at Serenity Farm Virginia for facilitating Bailey’s transition from a fearful and uncertain state to thriving as a welcoming resident.  We extend particular thanks to Jo for her ongoing patience, kindness, and dedication to Bailey throughout this process.
